My Intention As a Healing Artist

My intention is to provide personal session time to you, a person who is attracted to and desires an intimate and active relationship with your personal star cosmology that is different from astrology, and to spend additional amounts of time off-session performing calculations to channel, create and interpret them for you to facilitate aligning earth human forms with star cosmic ones. 

Our personal time together will take one-two hours that may include:

Somewhere along my life's journey, I received a strong message that stuck in my gut for a very long time: "Do not discuss religion or politics in mixed company (or in any social or business settings) because you are asking for trouble." I was taught that discussing these topics will create great conflict that will destroy friendships and potentially make me a persona non grata in professional circles that can lead to isolation, and perhaps even dismissal (though that reason would never be cited as the true reason).

Yes, I have seen the damage in other people's lives; but not in my own. Sure, conversations have become heated, but I always took the approach that we can agree to disagree because--well, there are so many other things that I often like about people with whom I have a difference of belief or opinion. I learned to value the whole person, and not divorce myself from relationships because of a strong contrast. My oldest friend is a Republican (and always has been). Another dear friend is an atheist.

Conflict and Contrast Are Creative Goldmines

As a creative professional and healing artist, I was taught to value conflict and contrast as vital creative tools: contrast in colors, contrast in textures, contrast in lighting, contrast in perspective, contrast in camera angles, contrast in point-of-view, and contrast in characters to create the conflicts necessary for telling an engaging story. Conflict and contrast are CREATIVE tools and principles.

Actually, spirituality and mindfulness is trending (and spiritual practices include religions), and it's viewed as a creative trend in this and the next decade (see Creator's Corner on Sacred Geometry); yet, the content in the articles cited that inspired this Creator's Corner are examples of even more contrast and contradiction. One includes research citing that Millennials are disengaging from religion and spirituality. Another cites that Americans do not believe in God, but somehow believe that Heaven is real. The third article might seem like an oxymoron: it explores the concept and practice of Imaginative Conservatism.

Creative breakthroughs often occur as the result of conflict in many aspects of the human experience. I feel like screaming again because conflict and contrast commands attention. They SHOUT and we all pay attention. The content then engages us for short or long periods of time depending on our interests, desires, emotions, and needs.

Creative Strategy

1) Become students of conflict and contrast from a creative arts perspective (Although this article is geared toward children becoming arts students, we adults can become students again for our own growth and sustainability now and in the future). Learn as much as we can about the use and value of conflict and contrast. Watching films and television with an eye for identifying their use in these mediums (and their success or failure from which we can learn lessons) can only help to shake off our antiquated negative attachments to them. Immersing ourselves in them helps to shape-shift our relationship from enemies to allies.

2) Share what we discover as part of our content offerings, or use these new allies in content strategy, content marketing, marketing strategy, songwriting, storytelling, or even to become more comfortable in our own psyches and skins with their value to attract, reach, impact and inspire others as creative professionals, entrepreneurs, solopreneurs, content curators, coaches, mentors, etc. through the variety of communications and media we use as calling cards and other enduring connection platforms in our careers or missions.

Use sigils as visual content to inform, educate, inspire, attract, promote, aesthetic (purely as art for arts sake ) for business, a project, service, or personal wellness. There are so many sigil forms to discover.  

Sigils are sacred geometry symbol forms that the ancients considered to be the marks of angels, deities, and other powerful entities; they are archetype conduits that merge science, creativity and spirituality. They used specific formulas to create them for specific purposes, and this practice continues today for healing, growth, and change purposes.

Sigils can be created and placed in specific formations on paper, on fabric, in art, in space, in the ground, and placed on the floor for a person to lie within that can serve as a portal, a gateway.

Here's one creative use example: Imagine the possibilities for how these forms can be creatively used as visual content in a video for travel by having a person sit within a formation that transports them to a particular place (in space or time), or in their own mind/consciousness or spirit.

OUR ALPHABET has its roots as energetic communication symbols that can be re-purposed today as sigils in support of creative pursuits. Many fine artists and visual communicators already know the significance of historical studies concerning lettering/typography, as well as healers and shaman who use sigils through study of sacred symbols and how the ancients used them. The creative possibilities for using sigils are only limited to one's imagination and creative intention.

UPDATE: What's Up, Twelve?

The original date on which I published this post was October 19th. I couldn't stop thinking about the number 12 and various connections to it (12 Disciples, 12 Chumpis, 12 Seeds of Faith, 12 Steps, 12 Traditions, 12 Concepts, 12 Ideals, 12 Star Sigils, Angel Number 12, 12 __________ (fill in the blank). Usually, when something keeps entering my consciousness and my senses begin to become flooded with something, I know I must pay attention. My personal understanding is that the Creator (my Greater Reality) is trying to get through to me, and wants me to pray, meditate, contemplate, and perhaps DO something concerning: What's Up, Twelve? Also, I had a strong sense to invite people in my network to be a part of whatever this was becoming. 

This all led to inviting friends by text, email, and Facebook to be guest bloggers here for the month of November. I am connected to many gifted and talented people who could easily share their thoughts, experiences, stories, and creations about 12, but most are quite busy with full work schedules, don't see how this fits into what they are doing, and November was so very close. I'm happy to say that a few of them will be guest bloggers this month about the 12 (or something entirely different they want share with you and me). They are in the process of planning what they want to write. Me too! I'm not certain what I will be writing, photographing, singing, drawing, or videotaping.

Blog posts are scheduled to be made on Mondays and Fridays this month.
